Keepsake
Things I Would Say CD

This band makes my favorite kind of music; heartfelt indie with punch-yourself-in-the-face screaming. Keepsake is a very good band, but they are so experimental. You can't find two Keepsake albums that are the same genre type, which is good I suppose. This is probably one of their hardest releases and I was really shocked when I listened to it the first time through. They are a lot more poppy than I could ever have imagined. There is a track on this album (i think it may be 8) that comes from nowhere because it's like a ballad. Seriously a song done totally dashboard style, I thought this was lame at first but now I can't stop singing the song. Really talented band, ex-members of PTW so what would be expected? Good album all around, but still not deserving of a five. I have yet to give an album a five. Or have I? I don't remember. If you like bands like this check out the band On the Might of Princes. They are so fuckin' crazy.

You know how after Pinkerton and Blue Weezer started sucking? Well these guys (there are only two guys who made this cd) are sort of like picking up where Weezer left off, sort of, well kind of, maybe. The only way I can describe this band is a hybrid of the Beatles and Weezer, but yet they are kind of totally different. They have really funny lyrics and you should definitely check them out. The whole cd is very good, although track #5 sounds like the theme song to a lame 80's sitcom but we won't hold that against them. Check out this album and the band Cadillac Blindside cause they are a lot of fun as well.

Small Brown Bike
Dead Reckoning CD

Fan of Hot Water Music? Fan of fun? Well then you should probably check out this LP or one of SBB's other releases. They are sort of like Hot Water Music on speed. Yet while Hot Water Music tends to write their songs very poetically and ambiguously (oh yeah, I am that smart) Small Brown Bike seems to have more of a simplistic and straight forward feel. I feel so cliche comparing this band to HWM though, so just buy the album and write a better review. Oh and check this band out at Warped Tour.

All Hallows CD

Very good stuff. I love AFI, I think Davey Havok has the greatest voice in the world. TotalImmortal is my favourite AFI song and Boy Who Destroyed the World is very good. Good Danzig cover too, if you are into the Misfits/Danzig stuff done by AFI. Definitely pick this up, even if it's your first AFI listening, and if it is may God have mercy on your soul.

Refused
New Noise Theology (Extended Play) CD

HOLY MOTHER FUCKIN' SHIT! This EP is amazing. The first song "New Noise", which I remember being all over MTV2, just comes right through and cracks ya right in the face with a hard, angry fist. There is some very awesome political rage coming from these dark haired Europeans in this EP. If you are new to Refused check out "Shape of Punk", then maybe form a team of rebels and revolutionize this ignorant world, just a suggestion.

Greg Graffin is a genius. If you listen to punk, obviously, you know that. This CD is very good. The music is from the 80's and it still kicks ass, like the Beatles, this music is timeless. As soon as my kids are old enough to swear and rebel, I'm going to have them listen to this CD. Well if this CD is so good, than why did you only give it a 4 star rating? you're probably asking. The answer is simple my friend, the songs are so short that it leaves you with a hard package and a pair of blue balls. If you dig my sexist perverse metaphor. The songs on this CD are all so good, but they end so quickly. If you're just getting into Bad Religion I suggest buying this CD to begin with, or Against the Grain. All in all a very good CD just a bit too short.

Jawbreaker -24 Hour Revenge Therapy CD

Jawbreaker
24 Hour Revenge Therapy CD

This album was purchased mainly because I think Jawbreaker is awesome. While I think it's Jawbreaker worst album, that doesn't mean it's bad. Unfun and Bivouac are probably two of the best emo albums you can buy. 24 Hour Revenge Therapy is a must have for Jawbreaker fans, but if you are new to the band and what to start listening, pick up Unfun or Bivouac.
