The Point Remains The Same CD

Wow....I can't believe I missed this one last year. This is their best album yet. Charm School Dropouts and the split with the Riptides are still right up there, but everything about this one just puts it out on top as the best Vapids recording ever. If I bought this one last year, it would've easily been number 1 on my list. By this now.

I decided to take a shot on this after reading some reviews. I really don't care about how un-original this is. It's just a fun record, period. They get a lot of comparisions to the Devil Dogs. I actually like these guys more than the Radio Reelers. Definitely worth the money.

Wow. best pop punk album I've heard post 2000. Better than the Copyrights and Teenage Bottlerocket. If you're a fan of those bands, you'll love this. Hooks galore. Definitely one of my favourites of the year. If you're an Elvis Costello fan, you need to hear these vocals.

Midnight Cashier LP

Picked this up back in July. This is better than their first record. No kidding. Their first record was great, but the 2nd side just didn't hold up to side A. Midnight Cashier feels less like a side project, and is much more consistent. My favourite record of the year so far....Perhaps the Busy Signals debut in October will give it a run for its money.

Kidnappers
Neon Signs LP

One of my favourite records of 2006, second only to the Marked men-fix my brain...I'm bored at work and thought I'd log in and write a little review on it.

Alot of people will argue and say it's not as good as their first. I think this one is way better. The first one was great to, very Teengenerate-esque...This one though has more of a power pop feel to it. Rip off doesn't release as much as they used to... But when they do, they don't dissapoint. Kidnappers-Neon Signs is a prime example of why Rip Off has NEVER lost touch. Fantastic record!
