Between The Buried and Me
Between The Buried and Me CD

This is Between the Buried and Me's first album. If you've heard "Silent Circus", this is a step down from that because "Silent Circus" is definitely their best. This self-titled CD is really good for being their first release. There is a noticeable change from this self-titled CD to their other two. The music isn't as technical, but Tommy's voice is still awesome. There's a lot more singing in this album...which isn't a bad thing. Tommy does an amazing job singing. This album seems more personal than the other two. Definitely a good buy though. I love listening to this CD when I've had enough crazy guitar solos in "Silent Circus" and "Alaska".

Norma Jean
Redeemer CD

This CD isn't all that great. Although the CD art is pretty nice, it's nothing compared to their first full length CD. There are a few catchy songs on here, but the vocals are nothing compared to "Bless the Martyr and Kiss the Child" (two different vocalist). I probably have listened to this CD all the way through about twice since I bought it (I bought this in January). I started listening to Norma Jean when "Bless the Martyr and Kiss the Child" came out, so to me this album was a waste of money. For people that haven't heard their first album, you might like it. The songs sound pretty much the same, and I don't think there is anything that stands out in this album.

Mastodon
Workhorse Chronicles DVD

Mastodon is such a great fucking band, and this is a very awesome DVD. I saw it at a friend's house and I just had to buy it. I've met the guys of Mastodon twice and they are truly amazing guys. This DVD has awesome footage and really great laughs. You should really buy this DVD to support these guys. Plus, Interpunk sells this DVD for dirt cheap compared to any other site. So, if you don't like it (which I would find hard to believe), at least you didn't empty your pockets to buy it. Even if you don't like Mastodon's music, you'll like their personalities that you see throughout the DVD.

Bring Me The Horizon
Count Your Blessings CD

These guys don't look like they should be playing this type of music, but they do rip it up. "Count Your Blessings" is a very catchy CD, and a very good one. For the people that need to maintain their bad ass metal image, you'd probably like it too. I kept this CD in my car for a month straight. Oli's vocals in this CD are amazing. If you don't appreciate the music, you'll definitely like the vocals. Bring Me the Horizon isn't a technical band anyways. If you've heard Bring Me the Horizon's first CD, this one can't compare. They did a lot of growing up, and finding cheating girlfriends while they were on the road. A lot of guys can probably relate to how he feels in this album, and he's not slitting his wrists in a corner crying about it. The import price (they're from England) is worth paying for.

Between the Buried and Me
The Silent Circus (with DVD) CD/DVD

Anybody that knows Between the Buried and Me knows that "Silent Circus" is their best album so far. If you haven't seen these guys live, like me, then this is a really good buy. I already have the regular copy, but this one shows an interview, some music videos, and live performances. The live performance is pretty boring to watch. It's no Killswitch Engage type of show. So no 30 year-old running around in short-shorts, but I think these guys are more focused on their sound. And they sound amazing. Dust-ball rips it up with some laughs in the interview, and the guy interviewing them is funny looking.
