Boy Sets Fire -Live For Today (Limited Edition) 10

Boy Sets Fire
Live For Today (Limited Edition) 10"

Great release from a great band. It was meant to promote tomorrow come today but now its a great add to your collection if you like BSF. The live song quality is pretty good and the vinyl itself is a pretty cool red color. Too bad these guys had to break up, deffinately a band I will miss.

Jena Berlin
Quo Vadimus CD

Really good cd. These guys have a really cool sound, I guess you might call it postcore but to me its hard to stick a label on a single band's music with all the different styles these days. The lyrics are passionate and honest and deffinately make you think a bit if you've got time to sit down and take a good listen while reading them too. You can tell they really care about their music which is great. Musically, this cd is great! JB are truly awesome musicians and it shows. Guitars, drums, and bass are all great. The song structures can be pretty technical but everything flows together nicely rather than sounding like a jumbled mess. Jon's vocals are really good too- a unique mix of singing and screaming. They took me a while to get used to but after a few listens they really grow on you. The ablum artwork is pretty cool as well, you can tell they put their time into the design. I can't reccomend Quo Vadimus enough. Its deffiantely one of my favorite cds as Jena Berlin is one of my favorite bands. Pick this up if you're looking for something cool, different, and fun and be sure to catch JB live- they put on a great show!

Kid Dynamite
Cheap Shots, Youth Anthems CD/DVD

This was my first Kid Dynamite album and I'm pretty impressed. The only thing I don't like is that some of the songs are from some their rough demos but its nothing to worry about if your a fan, you'll probally be so happy to get a collection like this. I enjoy listening to them and their singer has an awesome voice for singing punk. Get it if your a fan; I'm willing to pick up another cd from them

Strike Anywhere
Exit English CD

This is my favorite strike anywhere album. Most people like "Change is a sound" (which i love also) but this music seems more creative and different than anything else the've done. My favorite tracks are 3,6,9,10,11,and 12. "Exit English" has a good flow to it as well. The first track is short and the second immediately follows and song after song is great after that. The last two songs are awesome and just lead up an epic ending. If you haven't heard strike anywhere yet then I suggest "Change is a sound" but you really can't go wrong with any of their music

Our Darkest Days CD

wow! this my first cd by Ignite and i loved it! i saw them live with Strike Anywhere and they were awesome. "Our Darkest Days" is a mix of rock, punk, and hardcore. Zoli has the best voice in hardcore no question. Buy this!

Strike Anywhere
Dead FM CD

i was a little bit disappointed with "dead fm". strike anywhere has been a favorite ever since a friend showed me "change is a sound" but some of the songs on here just kinda drag on and aren't too fun to listen to. this is deffinately their most varied cd in terms of songs; there are fast hardcore songs like in "change is a sound", songs that just stand out like every song in "exit english" did, and the other songs on this cd are something completely new that have more of a pop punk vibe to them you couldn't mistake "dead fm" for anyone else but SA by reading the lyrics but a few songs like "speak to our empty pockets" or "two thousand voices" just drag on and on. i saw SA live on their dead note tour and they mainly stuck to their older songs, the newer songs they played were "sedition", "prisoner echoes", and "insitnct" all of which sounded great so you won't have to worry about them becoming to poppy. i also got to talk to thomas there

even with the crappy songs on this album, i still liked it and any fan of SA will. they still put on an awesome live show. if this is your first SA album then i suggest "change is a sound" first though
