Avenged Sevenfold
City of Evil [Explicit] CD

Ok here we have the new A7X. What's more to be said that this is genius. Being my fave band i'm not being bias in saying this is nothing short of a perfect metal/rock/salsa/acoustic/punk mix. Ha..Yes, there are many genres covered throughout and the talents of all members radiate on this insane accomplishment. From the awesome guitar harmonies/solos of Zacky and Synyster, M.Shadows' defining soaring vocals, Johnny's heavy bass lines, and the Rev's technical and catchy drumming prove they are pioneering in what they do. I agree an album doesn't need screaming to be good, and this album has made me appreciate music more on a whole new level. 'Waking the fallen' is still one of my all time favourite albums..ever. This one is on par, if not a more matured sound. A band that that can be compared to the best of the bunch ie. Guns N Roses, Megadeth, Pantera surely and hopefully will take over the world. Goodluck to them! If you don't like their direction or success..... Fuck off.

thought at first this could be another hardcore/metalcore/whatevercore release but after a few listens it will kick you in the ass. runs along the 'Atreyu' formula although the growls are meaner and more relentless. pick it up if you enjoy the harder and softer side of listening. something in here for the whole family. perfect for that mothers day gift?

tough and brutal. deep growling, high screaming, furious metal guitar, fast as shit metal drums .. etc.. fave songs 'elder misanthropy'and 'when the grave has emptied'. not for the faint hearted.

This is the bomb shnitt. As it says it has various influences, and hits like a hammer to the side of the head. Can hear the familiarities with Avenged Sevenfold and maybe even Black Dahlia Murder. Hansen's voice is tough and sounds as tough on the live tracks. Grave's vocals on headwound are insane, Fuck yeah, the Misfits! If this album doesn't make you wanna pick up a guitar or instrument, or even just go fuckin' berko, buy it anyway and support decent bands like this. Fiend club? More like Hell club..
