This cd is another decent album you may want to own, but it doesn't do a lot for me. It's kind of mid-toned and I'm not generally into things like that. The singer is quite hard to understand which sometimes takes away from hot water music, but if you're a fan this probably won't kill you to try out. I give it a two mostly to keep up with my scaling on my other reviews and that I'm not really into slower stuff.
This is a decent album to own. If you're into things like Yellowcard's sound in one for the kid's you'd probably enjoy this. Ben from YC plays the violin for a few songs and the whole cd is pretty great. I don't usually like slower songs, but they have some pretty good ones. So I guess this one is for pop-punk lovers.
No one has reviewed this EP yet and I was a bit surprised, but the phoenix rising hasn't moved farther than upstate indiana and chicago. They played at Chicago's warped tour and from what i hear did very well. This album is a little awkward and I can't really tell you what it is musically. Indie can be crazy for sure and this is a very poetic and emotional album. Their LP is of course much better, but not available on interpunk. If you enjoy music that breaks the mold it's something you might want to look into. It's a bit awkward much like Q and not U, but please do not think it sounds anything like that. It is an EP I think many people should have in their collection so when they want something a bit slower paced, but not acoustic they can have it.
this cd is pretty rad and very enjoyable. There aren't any slow moving songs that you can sit and fall asleep to and you definitely don't have to skip around past the really boring songs because there really aren't any.
