Gatsby's American Dream
Why We Fight CD

Gatsby's is pretty much my favorite band. After buying their newest cd, Volcano, i instantly fell in love and bought ribbons and sugars and downloaded Land of Lost Monsters. Both cd's were also amazing, with some of the best melodies and vocals harmonies I've ever heard. This was the last cd out of all of them that I bought and when I first heard this cd I was greatly dissapointed. Some guy mentioned below that it is a little more punk-rock based which is true only because some songs have a faster tempo although it still is the same distinct gatsby sound. The problem with this cd is that most the songs all sound the same and arent very distinct. "Where Shadows Lie" is probally the best and most stand-offish song on here as it sounds like it belongs on "Volcano". "The Child" also has a great melody and "The Fall of George Mallory" is pretty good too. As for the rest of them...mediocore. I still reccomend this cd for Gatsby fans, but if your just getting into them, most people prefer Ribbons and Sugar first, but I say go with Volcano because it has a more solid and melodic feel to it.

No Vacation From The World CD

At first I thought this cd was pretty mediocore but it totally drew my attention with how similiar musically and vocally this sounds No Use...er at least when they were good. After giving this cd a few more listens I found a couple stand out tracks and now I listen to this cd all the time. Great buy for fans of No Use (sounds like songs off of Making Friends and More Betterness).

Lagwagon
Live In A Dive CD

Good live cd. I'm not really too fond of the set-list they decided to go with for this record but its worth the money over-all. WHY THE HELL DIDNT "MR. COFFEE MAKE THE CD?!" In my opinion that was the best song they did live (the song they do in the enhanced video). A must have for hardcore wagon fans but if your a casual lag fan or just getting into them id get the studio cds first, prefferably blaze and lets talk about feelings are my 2 fav.

Overall: Great sound, Good Energy, all and all i love lagwagon, they're fun and they're a great skate-punk band that paved the way for plenty followers

Straight Outta Junior High
Kiss Of Deaf CD

The lyrics are horrible The songs have hardly any variation from each other The songs have basically the same progression in every song But strangely... This cd still manages to kick ass.

If you put NOFX, Nerf Herder, and Screeching Weasel in a blender this is exactly what you'd come up with.

This is a great new band that has alot of potential to go big, and im looking forward to seeing them this year at warped tour.
