Last Days Of April
Angel Youth CD

Great Album. I bought it because i heard aspirins and alcohol on a deep elm comp., but I bought the CD and found other favorites. The way the sample in "Days I recall.." flows right into the rest of the song is beautiful. You can tell this album goes deep into the writers memories and pulls out some complex but sincerely stunning words. I like how the band doesn't force themselves into the cliches of mixing, guitar technique and other things. The album is quirky and it's one of those records where the imperfections are what make it so wonderful. Good buy over all.

Gooood stuff! If you listen to the first track on this page that will give you a good idea of the rest of the album. I agree w/ the guy below that it's a very free sounding album. All the guitar is very clean and captivating and the album as a whole keeps its momentum from beginning to end. Looking for something a little more mature than the emo/screaming monotany? This is perfect.

Nothing Feels Good CD

I know I'm supposed to love this album, but I jsut cant bring myself to do it. I really liked "Electric Pink" when I got it a few years ago and I trusted there reputation for good tunes when I bought this, but this album left me wishing that they had made a full length out of elec. pink. By the way....the first song has like two lines to it that they repeat for like 3 solid minutes.....ANNOYING. Not terrible though. Good for someone not looking for much complexity. Just straight ahead, laid back, indie rock.

If you liked American Football along w/ many of the polyvinyl acts you'll love this album. Its full of quirky little add ons to the accoustic guitar melodies that almost remind me of the postal service in that ambient beauty sort of way. This album creates it's own instant atmosphere that leaves you feeling refreshed and suprisingly content. I listen to a wide range of music and this was the perfect headliner for my "chill" department. Worth the money!

If you have several of SO's albums you must have this. Like most I was slightly dissappointed w/ American Paradox...eventhough it grew on me. I didn't know what to expect w/ this one, but it is incredible. The musical work and obvious thought put into the melodies is as complex as an orchestra at the opera. The guitar work blows my mind and the more I listen to this album the more it grows on me. Just give it a few listens and it will be right up there w/ "STWB" and "Twisted By Design" which are my favorites.

Good album for people looking for a mix of new and old punk. The vocalist has a kind of raunchiness to him that gives it that early punk feel, but it doesn't lack thought for melody and catchy moments. All around good album...nothing astonishing though. First couple of tracks are the best.
