I read an interview where Stretch Armstrong claimed that this would be their last cd. Well they definitely went out with a bang. Anyone who liked their previous cd's will love this one. The boys haven't changed for the worse at all. I can't five this though because not everyone will be interested in Stretch Armstrongs Scream/singing blend of music. If you've ever heard them before and walked away with a smile, I'd definitely recommend picking up this lovely little number.
I wanted to like this cd I REALLY did! Hell I love Big D and their wacky fast paced ska songs. This however is not Big D. Salem girls is interesting to listen to but it's not so much a song as a recording of witch-related items with trumpets in the background. The other two songs were so slow I couldnt stand giving it a 2nd try through. The fact that it's a new Big D cd will be enough to get more than a few ska fans to wet themselves with delight and buy it immediately. Just don't expect Big D. Unfortunately this was crap and I wouldnt recommend it even to the hardest of Big D fans.
It's been a while since I've heard anything mind-blowing so I tend to buy a lot of random cds in hopes of finding my next personal big thing. This is not it. This cd delivers what it promises. A good blend of hardcore and punk. Just dont expect much more than that. While its worth a listen its definitely nothing you havent heard from a thousand other bands. All in all an ok cd.
No...I jus dont know what to say, I was waitin a long time for these guys to come out. If you're a die hard fan of Ten Foot Pole than get this, but I've bought all of their cds and the only one I truly liked and continuously listen to was Rev. When I heard this though, I tried forcing myself to like it but as much as I listened to it, I jus had to put it away. It has 1 or 2 good songs on it but its not something you have to rush out to buy.
I bought their first two cds and thought these guys were a pretty good screamo band. Nothin amazing but defintily worth listening to. Their new cd is great and their re-makes of Red is the New Black and Escape Artists Never Die sound good too. My only complaint is that theres some slower songs in here that just dont work for me. Still a good cd to own though.
