Norma Jean
Bless The Martyr And Kiss The Child CD

this cd is better than i think. it starts off really well but for some reason i cant make it through the whole cd. it kinda blends together a lot but its still a pretty decent cd. the music is done well and the vocals are pretty good. my only complaint is how it drags and seems to blend together.

A Wilhelm Scream
Mute Print CD

very very good cd from a band that is very local to me. this is technical, fast punk music with vocals similar to hot water music. this cd is actually a lot different from their older releases but theyve gotten better with every cd. its in the same vein as "benefits" but theyve taken an extra step and really made some good music (like better guitar riffs, tempo changes). i recommend this to anyone who likes this type of music and older fans of smackin. it doesnt disappoint.

Unloved And Weeded Out CD

this is a really good cd even though its basically a "rare and unreleased" cd. i usually find those kinds of cds hard to enjoy but this is good. there are only a few songs that are older converge songs and less enjoyable but as a whole its very good. the live songs are pretty cool too. every converge fan should have this.

i love this cd. its really good indie music. the only thing that is somewhat bad is the financial theme of the cd. i mean its not a bad thing but if youre sick of people telling you the system doesnt work its not a good thing either. the music is really good, and so are the vocals. there is no bright eyes-esque music on here, and thats good cuz i hate bright eyes. this is how connor should still sound.

Silence In Black And White CD

this cd is very generic. its basically pop punk with a few heavy parts and sounds like thursday meets saves the day way too much. the backup screams are monotonous and boring and the lead vocalists voice can get very annoying. if you cast that aside, its a decent cd. its nothing new though and this style is getting old. (if youve ever heard senses fail id say this is the exact same thing only longer)

i discovered max colby when i was trying to find some better/older emo. i was amazed at first listen but found this cd incredibly hard to find until by chance i searched here and found it. an incredible cd..its emo and hardcore stuff. nothing to compare it to except older emo bands and post-hardcore music of the early 90s. some people may be mad because a lot of the songs are 80-90% music with just howling screams to break it up. the music is the important thing here, not the lyrics, and its supposed to set a mood. standout tracks are the epic balance, whats the matter river, sparcly, sifelaver, and one gallon alda.
