Modest Mouse
Building Nothing Out Of Somethin CD

Modest Mouse has this blend of sarcasm and wit that makes them irresistable. The guitars and bocals are awesome. I love Modest Mouse!

Mars Volta
Tremulant CD

The fact that I love Cedric Bixler Zavala and his voice it's a no brainer that I love The Mars Volta. It is a definite step away from ATDI (At the Drive- In for those of you who don't know) but it is a good step... no strike that... a great step. One that needed to be taken. Its amazing that out of the chaos of ATDI breaking up that two great bands have formed (Sparta is the other) but the focus is on The Mars Volta. They have a new sound that is not ATDI, they expanded and expanded well. There is no band like ATDI because as a whole that was the best... but split up they still rock. Cedric Bixler and Omar Rodriguez still make a great team, and with whole new people this band is here to stay. If this EP is any indicator, their full length album should be even better. I can't wait till it comes out... in June. their is something about Cedric's voice that is more soothing than in ATDI but still rough... anyways... It is worth it to but this if you want to start off with a band and have a complete collection. This is where I take my leave and go listen to The Mars Volta. Rock on! Cedric Bixler Zavala rules! Geoff Rickly rocks too! Laters. ^.~

Engine Down
Demure CD

This CD is pretty rocking. The most notable song on here and my personal fave is Songbird. Another good song is the title track Demure. This guy has like a totally different voice that is new and refreshing. Buy the CD man!

Sparta
Wiretap Scars CD

This CD is awesome. There are 3/5 of ATDI (At the Drive- In) Jim, Tony and Paul and then the new guy is Matt. I think that ATDI was complete and splitting up they divided their talents. Jim is an amazing guitarist and singing wise he can hold his own, but he is no Cedric Bixler. Being a big fan of ATDI I looked into this band and Mars Volta and they are both great. Sparta has the musical feel of ATDI with the guitars and Mars Volta has the lyrical feel of ATDI. So if you're a fan of ATDI check this CD out, and give it a listen. I also suggest you check out Concertina by Mars Volta somehow because it is an amazing song. Getting back to the CD, the best songs by far are Cut Your Ribbon with his powerful screaming asking if how can you sleep at night, Mye with its funky mellow to loud rocking sound. Then there is Air and Collapse which have great lyrics. Cataract is a great song too. In the video for Cut Your Ribbon aren't his eyes amazing? If you haven't seen the video look on their website. Jim is so hot in that video. As always I must express that Jim is hot, so is Cedric and Geoff Rickly. Rock on everyone!

Cave In
Jupiter CD

How great is this cd? They have a spacey feel to it and I get goosebumps everytime I listen to this cd. The best songs on are "Jupiter", 'In the Stream of Commerce" and "Innuendo and Out the Other". This a must have for anyone who likes Cave In or are into different sounding music. My firends listened to it, and even though they don't like this kind of music they loved Cave In!

Thursday
Waiting CD

This is a great Thursday cd. If you're a Thursday fan get it! If not then don't bother. Anyone who thinks Thursday sucks has a right to think that, but don't force that opinion on me. Porcelain is a great track, depressing yes, but oh so good. They are definitely a great band... No one can take that away! Geoff Rickly rocks and is super HOT!!!! Cedric Bixler rocks too!

At The Drive In -Acrobatic Tenement CD

At The Drive In
Acrobatic Tenement CD

At the Drive- In has to be the best band ever! Acrobatic Tenement is definitely proof of that. For those new to ATDI, I would probably go with Relationship of Command. Some great tracks on Acrobatic Tenement are "Star Slight", "Initiation", and "Embroglio". ATDI is one of my favorite bands and I would say that this is one of their best albums. Buy it now!!!!! At the Drive- In ROCKS!!!!!
