Fang
Landshark/Wild Things CD

Fang is boring. They seem like they could have been pretty good. They just don't seem to put forth much effort or energy into it. Their lyrics are ok, the music *should* sound "rockin'", but it just isn't. They somehow managed to make a song called "Destroy the Handicapped" boring. They're not annoyingly bad, in fact you almost want to like them, but you just can't.

Circle One
Are You Afraid? CD

At first I actually was afraid, afraid that I had for some reason wasted my money on some shitty, generic hardcore band. But it turns out Cirlce One is much, much worse. The lead singer is a grown man who not only believes in the devil, but wrote multiple songs about him and how he needs to be stopped. Seriously. Also the band was made up of dumb thugs who would gang up on people at shows, in the same way that skinheads do. You know, a big group taking on like one or two people? The lead singer would pick young runways/drugged up kids off the street to take them into his house and molest them. All of this is in the liner notes.

Lewd -Kill Yourself 7

Lewd
Kill Yourself 7"

Look how disgusting these fruitcakes are. That second one from the left is just begging you to shove a cock into blank, stupid face. And that fat one, god. In any case the song is called "Kill yourself" so it you know it can't be that bad. How do you spell forgettable? With two "t"'s, right? Or just one?

Wire
Pink Flag (Remastered) CD

Wire was a great art-punk band that wasn't pretentious or gay. This album has a lot of songs, most of which are pretty short, and all of which are good. Everyone has a boner for this album, and understandably so. Minor Threat, Big Black, and the New Bomb Turks are some bands that liked Wire so much they covered their songs. Oh, also this is the best album of theirs you can get.

Flipper
Blow'n Chunks CD

This is Flipper live at CBGB's sometime in the early 80's. What's with the lack of Flipper on this site? Flipper did a lot of interesting, creative things. Most of the songs revolved around a really catchy bassline played by either Will Shatter or Bruce Lose, depending on who was singing. Then Steve DePace drummed it up and Ted Falconi played whatever he wanted on his guitar, and it always sounded good. They were real sloppy and loud, and slower than most punk bands. Flipper were heavy. Real heavy.

Big Black
Hammer Party CD

This cd is a collection of the first three Big Black ep's; "Lungs", "Cables", and "Racer X". Big Black is Steve Albini, a drum machine, and other people. The first ep didn't have other people. Steve Albini is real angry. The songs are BRILLIANT.

Dayglo Abortions
Here Today, Guano Tomorrow CD

The Dayglo's played a blend of metal and punk. This album seems more metal than punk, though. The songs are longer, there are less of them, but it's real good. The only song that isn't way good is "Fuck Satan To Death", which wasn't written by the Cretin or sung by the Cretin. Or even Jesus Bonehead. No, it was written by the bassplayer, who's name is Nev the Impaler. My name is Nevin, so even though I don't like the song, the guy's name is like my name, so it's the greatest song on the face of the Earth.

Dead Milkmen
Bucky Fellini CD

Good songs that are listenable most all the time. The drummer calls himself "Mallory" instead of Dean Clean for this album and this album only. Also, Dave Blood committed suicide, which is sad.

Subhumans
From The Cradle To The Grave CD

The first half of this album is six or so real good songs, more melodic than previous ones. The last song is 18 minutes and about an entire life. It's good the whole way through. All epic and shit. You know that song "The Decline" by NoFX? They got the idea from this album.

Dayglo Abortions
Death Race 2000 CD

This is the Dayglo's playing straight-fowardish rock songs. Kind of. More so than their other albums, at least. It has both The Cretin and Gymbo singing. Fuck, have you heard the new one, Holy Shiite? It's so good. Better than this one, even. I think I bought it somewhere that wasn't this website, though.
