Boy Sets Fire

After the Eulogy

Wind Up 13067

Released on May 2, 2000

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

The latest passion-driven knockout punch to the heart from the politically-charged, current heavyweight Emo Champions of the World BOY SETS FIRE. An awesome thirteen-song title match won hands-down with a perfectly balanced attack of melodic and abrasive punk and rock sounds, led by the strong jabs of their nihilistic roots, and finished with a fierce combination of veteran-learned power rock hooks. Expect the usual full scale lifestyle retail promotion.

This was BSF's greatest album before they released "Tomorrow Come Today", but it definitely cannot be overshadowed by the latter simply because of one song on this CD, and that song happens to be "Rookie." This ranks as one of my favorite songs of all time, and I do believe it is timeless. The album flows very well together, one that you can listen to from beginning to end. But if you buy this CD if only to listen to "Rookie", then it is well worth the money.

if u like screaming, then buyt it, otherwise don't, it is a mix, to much cursing for the style of punk, they try to be politicasl and hard and then be soft and not-political, doesn't qork in my opinion...

I bought this disc on the on the strength of "After The Eulogy" (the song). It was very good and thought the rest of the tracks could live up to the expectation. It follows with some decent music, blending harsher styles with some more melodic ones. Overall, it's a pretty nice expiernce. I haven't heard much other Boy Sets Fir, so I have little to compare to, however this CD seems like a fine introduction to the band. I'm particularly fond of "After the Eulogy", "Rookie", and "My Life In The Knife Trade." Give it a shot; you might like it more than I did.

The best thing that Boysetsfire have done and probably will ever do, although tomorrow come today is also great. It doesn’t have the individual songs that this record has in "After the Eulogy", "Rookie", "The Force Mejura" and "Our Time Honoured Tradition of Cannibalism".

A couple of tracks are a lil bit too emo for my liking for what you are hoping to expect throughout the record from the first track but still a great effort and a damn fine live act!

I didnt like it. The Guitar and Bass is meteokre theres 1 or 2 good songs but that isnt going to make me like the cd just for 2 songs. I give this Cd a 2.

I bought this expecting some real hardcore, but I was suprised this is alot slower than I thought, it was still a great cd though. Track 2 is great. I wish I would have caught them on tour with Atreyu and Snapcase, I bet that would have been a killer show.

This is a refreshing change, they can produce the most evil sounding hardcore and yet they have pure emo ballads but its all good, i saw these guys not so long ago and they are untouchable in a live setting. My fave song has gotta be compassion the contrasting vocal range during the song is brilliant and my life in the knife trade makes me shed a tear. This band oozes talent, i ent the biggest hardcore fan in the world but this album is so diverse thats why i purchased it. If u r open minded on the whole punk family tree then give it a listen u might be suprised like i was.

This cd fuckin rules. It interchanges from hardcore to emo throughout the cd and every song is good. I definitely would recommend this cd if you're tired of all that straight-ahead punk rock that all sounds exactly the same.

Boy Sets Fire is an awesome, harmonic, lyrical rampage. Well thought out music and lyrics make this one of my favorite bands. With Rage Against The Machine views and Deftones sound this makes for an awesome candy to the ears. This cd is shore to be a pleaser for any political active rock fan out there.
