Piebald

If It Weren't For The Venetian Blinds It Would Be Curtains For Us All

Big Wheel Recreation 217

Released on June 22, 1999

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

The second album from these Boston nutcrackers continues down their well-worn path of lightheartedness and humor. Fourteen tracks of melodic punk rock packed with jangly guitars, vocal trade-offs, catchy hooks and a much bigger sound than their previous "efforts." Energetically recorded on 24-tracks at Salad Days studio (which is owned by a guy who did some work for Billy Joel). Yea!

Before I had this cd i had "we are the only friends that we have" and "Barely Legal/All Ages". I read the reviews for "If it weren't for..." and they pretty much raved about it. So I decided to buy the cd and it is awesome. It has to be my favorite piebald cd of all. The whole cd is awesome, each track is a highlight. But my favorite tracks are the acoustic ones such as "You won't be seeing me again" and "Mount Pleasant".

Awesome emocore album. Grace Kelly With Wings is one of the best songs I ever heard. These guys have very witty lyrics too. I love this band. This is probably their best album.

PIEBALD RULES ALL THE LAND! Don't buy this cd if you're a dick because you don't deserve to listen to the emo/ACDC rock stylings of the best brain pop band ever. Every song on this cd is good and some of the "totally travis y las marianas" stuff shines through on the acoustic tracks. Buy this album if you like sound.

These guys are sick. I love it. I have heard good things about Piebald forever, so I finally picked this one up. It's genious. I'm not sure, it's weird, they are one of those bands that you can't explain why, but you love. Definetely pick this one up.

A masterpiece of witty, satirical, catchy emo/punk/rock. Piebald is just one of the many talented bands coming from the Boston area over the past few years. From the witty song titles, the play on words, the great instrumentation, this album is a classic.
