All i can say is that Aarron Cometbus is one the best writers the punk scene has ever seen.........his writing alone makes him one of the kings of punk rock.....aside from being an awesome drummer.......if you take the punk scene and the world around you as seriously as i do......you could look at this book as the punk rock holy bible.

Filled with so many amazing stories that its hard to beleive one person lived this life. This thing is huge, I hope I can finish it some time in the next few years. Get this if you want to read all the old cometbuses, though it doesn't have every issue.

5 Stars! This is a great and also pretty thorough collection of the first 20 years of Cometbus. It also includes bits from the pre-Cometbus high-school issues with Jesse Michaels. Even if you have never picked up an issue of Cometbus, it is so easy to get drawn into and enjoy this. Cometbus is such a classic zine because instead of writing about temporary and already highly covered punk issues, he writes about capturing the punk attitude and applying it to real life. There is so much to take in from this book. There's articles, old interviews, fliers, stories, comics, mini-novels, accounts of the many places Aaron has traveled to in his destitute, and so much more that is incapable of being captured in this review. I think The Rocket's review on the back is best: "Aaron is in love with the world, and he survives his own abuse magnificently, with wit and words to spare." Get this, by any means possible!
