From Russia with ska!
The latest world release for one of Russia's finest ska acts. "Too Good To Be True" marks this bands biggest effort to date, with releases spanning the globe. They have released this in Russia and now in the U.S. and Europe with the help of Megalith Records.
With 15 sun scorching tracks in the vien of the full band ska sound, this albums is sure to be burning up lasers in cd players across the world! The ska-jazz name is a little deceiving as I think they have a lot more upbeat energy and tempos than most "ska-jazz" acts. To me they remind me of the Scofflaws, if they moved to Russia and got a female vocalist to front the band. She has a very refreshing style, sounding like a flapper from the 40s. They also have a bit of that late 90's ska swing sound in the vein of Easy Big Fella and Skavooie And The Epitones. With a good mix of instrumentals and vocals, this release doesn't let ears go to sleep and keeps the feet moving on the dance floor till the party's over!
The Megalith release tacks on 2 extra releases that the Russians didn't get!
