The Middle Class are credited with releasing what is considered the first "hardcore " or "proto-hardcore" punk record, 1978's faster than fast "Out Of Vogue." With the 30th anniversary of that ground-breaking and influential EP upon us, Frontier Records is overjoyed to announce the release of The Middle Class "Out of Vogue - The Early Material." The collection includes all of The Middle Class's early studio recordings along with a never before released, four-song, 1977 studio demo.

This is an essential cd for any punk rock enthusiast. This shows the radical turn that punk rock would take between 1978 and 1983. From Out of Vogue to the end of the album, it starts a rush that just won't let up, even after the last song has ended.

You have to buy this CD! It's a part of American hardcore history... Although they are not as good as Black Flag or Bad Brains The Middle Class started in 1976 (Black Flag and B.B. got their start in '77)... Like I said not as good as BF or BB but better than the overrated Adolescents (At least I think so).
