i'd heard a bit about this band and some of their songs. i picked it up and it's pretty much what i expected: nice punk/ska, but nothing really special about it. i dont know much about against all authority's other albums, but when i compare this album to catch 22's 'keasbey nights' streetlight manifesto, and less than jake's and reel big fish's good records, there is no comparison.
dont get me wrong, this album is really good, and i'll give it a 5, but it's really generic. nothing too special about it.

Okay, Against All Authority is seriously one of my favorite punk/ska bands, but this release was just so disapointing. I am not one that is prone to giving band's new releases a bad review just because it's not their old stuff, but really, this stuff is just such a far stretch from the crazy anarchist/political ska/punk that they used to play. They have evolved into just another vaguely political pop-punk band where once they sung about Sacco & Vanzetti and the Haymarket Martyrs in crazy fast ska punk. What happened? Who knows. This stuff is a lot more marketable, however, so I'm sure they're doing fine with it. Whatever, I still love this band, but this release just isnt anything near a reflection of what I once thought this band was.

Against all authority. Best band in the world. hardcore punk meets ska. i have all of the other against all authority cds, and this one is different i can tell you that. its not the greatest. but its relaly unique and it is still very very good. the song "buried alive" is fucking awesome.get this cd kuz its good, but if you wanna save yer money on something awesome get "nothing new for trash like you" or "all fall down"

AAA is very sweet, i think they get a little to much in to the ska on this cd without putting the punk into it, i love it tho, u can still tell its them, but if u like ska punk i would suggest one of there earlier albums, but if u already have all of those of even sum and liek htem, u will like this cd

I think I got this more for the nostalgia factor and the free shirt than anything else. I loved these guys in high school and "All Fall Down" and "24 Hour Roadside Resistance" are still great albums to me, but this one just didn't do it. I wasn't expecting them to break the mold or anything, but at the same time I was expecting more. They waited 6 years to put this out and you'd think that they would have had enough material to come up with a great album, but to me there's a lot of filler on this album. Still, it's hard, it's loud, it's fast, it's pissed and it's a lot better than numerous other bands out there. If you want to get into these guys though, go buy their second and third albums instead.

WONDERFUL CD! I've been waiting a long time for this release. If you don't know AAA then you are missing out, and if you do know AAA then you SHOULD own this record.

This cd is pretty awesome. Although I enjoy ska and ska punk, this cd is pretty much straight forward punk rock with ska influences on guitar and horn lines on just a couple tracks. The song Circle Pit is so catchy, but in a good way. This song alone is enough of a reason to purchase the album. Other notable tracks include Shut it Down and Radio Waves, the only ska punk track on the album.

Buy it, it still holds true the AAA style and drive. Very political in that classic AAA way. They are not pussying up yet so go for it!!

More of a 3 1/2 really. But you'd think after a 6 year wait(not for me it was a 3 year wait for me) this would be a little better. Its not bad, far from it, but its not anywhere near as great as their other 3 albums. If you don't have any AAA albums get "Destroy What Destroys You" first. But if you're not that into ska and still wanna check them out get "24 Hour Roadside Resistance", it doesn't have much ska in it ands mostly punk. Definitely get this last or only if you have everything else.
