this is a really good album. isis is an incredible band. the only complaint i have is that this album drags at times, many of the parts are two drawn out for me. i would get "oceanic" first.

ISIS is awsome. I don't like this CD as much as "oceanic" but it's still a good CD. It's more instrumental, spacy and drawn out than "oceanic" and it gets sort of boring because of that. I find that I need more than one sitting to listen to the entire CD, but I don't think it's a bad CD at all. Not really a great starting point, but don't hesitate from buying it.

Interesting cd. been classified as stoner rock, i can see that, these guys definitly jam out... great powerful riffs, drums are pretty driving, vocals soso. I picked this cd up just to check out the hype... it is good, but it lacks something...

Pretty good stuff. The instrumental track is pretty epic. If you are just getting into Isis; I would recommend this and then Oceanic. You should also check out Old Man Gloom or any of Aarron Turner's side projects.

This is a recording that you should definitely listen to with headphones from start to finish. It's definitely an amazing concept album that plays with your mind with massive riffs, sonic blasts by both guitars and electronics, heavy/vague vocals...this recording is definitely a journey through space from start to finish.

holy mother of god, this is great!!!!!!!!!!!! wow, brooding, intelligent, thoughtful, bewildering, atmospheric...this album has it all! isis are, no doubt, one of the most underrated bands out there, a shame really considering there are many others who get far more credit for producing music that is infinately inferior to this. but 'celestial' is not just a few tracks of music mind you, no, it's an experience of texture, it's a story with an enigmatic plot line, it's an album that will leave you scratching your head for weeks trying to figure out what it's all about...i was initially put off buying this because i hate metal. but this isn't metal, it's something that is almost indefinable...post-apocolyptic art-noise perhaps? anyway, categories aren't important, all you need to know is if you want an album to challenge your processes of thought and perception, buy this now!

Brilliant. I love this cd. It's one long ass transmission basically. They have the whole space-vibes going on throughout this whole album....there are three songs that are basically space sounding signals, and throughout some of the songs, you can hear them too. Slow and rocking drone/sludge/hardcore that you can totally just sway your head to. The guy has a rad voice too....harsh screams. I saw these guys play last week, and they were so awesome. My head kept swaying the whole time.....you can totally space out to that stuff. Very unique shit here.....i honestly dont think you can find anything remotely similar to this anywhere. they're one of those bands that you cant compare to someone else, but someone else will come along in which you can compare them to isis. Very essential for fans of hardcore, sludge, doom, or just good old unique music. GET IT!!!!!!!!!
