Nothing Lasts Forever (Reissue)

Punk Core 33

Released on November 18, 2003

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

The third in a series of three classic re-issues from Portland punk legends DEFIANCE! This time in the form of their sought-after second album Nothing Lasts Forever, digitally re-mastered and beautifully re-packaged in a manner befitting this 1998 classic. Includes rare, never-before-seen photos from the era and complete lyrics. This was to be the final recording made with the original line-up and the album's cryptic title had many at the time wondering if this was the end for DEFIANCE. Includes a killer rendition of "Emergency" made popular by the MOTORHEAD and GIRLSCHOOL collaboration in 1983!

Defiance is probably my favorite "street" punk band around. This album is fast, hard, and pissed. I never thought anything came out of Oregon besides survivalists and tree huggin dirty ass hippies and I'm glad that it's not true. F the casualties these guys are the real deal. The 2 albums after this are good too, just a bit more polished....doesn't make it worse dag gummit

This CD is OK, I honestly don't think it's anything special. . . It's fast and hard as hell, but just doesn't do much for me. . . I'd only buy it if you have extra money you want to get rid of. . . Definately not a necessity to your collection. . .

this cd was really good, its a mix between no future and out of the ashes. i would suggest getting no future first but if you have that get this one. you wont be dissapointed.

I heard a lot of people saying this album was a lot better than their first LP, "No Future, No Hope" but sadly in my opinion it doesn't live up to such standards. This release is less melodic & more hard hitting chaos punk sounding, but a lot better. But I wouldn't doubt any of their fans would mind that they beefed up their sound. It also includes a Motorhead cover. Check it out it's well worth it. 10 songs in under 30 minutes. You couldn't go wrong.
