Coalesce/Boy Sets Fire

Split

Hydra Head 30

Released on January 29, 2000

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

The long-out-of-print raging 7-inch now remixed and remastered for the digital format. Two blistering tracks by each band covering each other's songs, plus an additional brand new track by each (quite possibly COALESCE's last studio recording) not featured on the original 7-inch version. As usual Hydra Head underpressed, so don't get caught sleeping.

HMMM............. BOYSETSFIRE songs good, Coalesce songs....crap. Coalesce is the fuckin most horrible band, there music is fuckin terrible. That idiot singer sounds like a monster. Coalesce isn't hardcore to me there fuckin Slipknot heavy metal. Coalesce to me is just as bad as rap cause you can't understand what there saying. BUY THIS FOR THE BSF SONGS, NOT FOR COALESHIT!!!!!! PROTEST IS PATRIOTISM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S. GET'S A 3 CAUSE OF BSF EVEN DOING A SPLIT WITH THIS HEAVY METAL BAND.

COALESCE KICKS ASS!!! Boy sets fire.... naah. they sound like children next to the harsh vocals of sean in COALESCE. their acoustic song is the greatest song ever made and their cover of Vehicle is a million times better than the Boy Sets Fire version. but this is a must have for any hardcore kid and especially coalesce fans, it has all their greatest songs. the reason i gave this cd not a five was because it had boy sets fire on it. i really dont like them, because they are just like all the other screamy bands with a crappy singer. coalesce has the greatest vocals they are raspier and deeper than Corey from Slipknot, who sucks by the way. but if you do like slipknot, and i am very sorry for you if you do, then you should get this cd because youll realize how much better coalesce is than slipknot.

This cd featured three songs from each band. Two out of the three songs were covers of the other featured band while one was an original. I am a huge fan of boy sets fire so its hard to find fault with what they give out on this cd. I had never heard coalesce though. They cover the first two tracks on BSF's this crying this screaming and they did a GREAT job. The only problem i have MIGHT be the original by coalesce.. it was kinda accoustic and weird. i dont HATE it.. it just seems out of place. All the same.. definately an album im proud to have in my collection. Go buy it.
