this is their first and best album they've ever put out.
at first, i only liked a few songs, but it only took maybe 3 listens all the way through before i liked them all. this record is so ahead of its time.

After listening to "Everything Sucks" and "Cool to be You" I had to hear this cd. At first, it was very different from what I expected. At first, I didn't really like it, but after a few listens it really started to grow on me. My favorite songs are "Hope," "Bikeage" and "Myage." I tend to skip over some songs, but overall its a good cd.

Really nice Pop-Punk here. Up there with Green Day,Screeching Weasel,The Queers and The Ramones.Fast "blink and you miss em"songs though.Lots of classics on this album. Theres "Hope", "Bikeage", "Myage" and "Kabuki Girl". After this album i immideatly bought Everything Sux. While just as good as this album, this album may have the edge. I am soon Going to get the whole discography. Great stuff. Remember new age Pop-Punk kids, know your roots!

FUCK! I love this CD. This is a classic punk album. It reminds me of Black Flag and the Dead Kennedys. Great genuine punk rock. I can't stand when people call this album the first "Pop/Punk" album. I hate when I hear that word pop/punk. It's actually an oxymoron.
This album is pretty hard core. It has lots of politics and humor on it. The only song that is sorta poppy is "Hope" but that is an excellent song and one of my favorite songs of all time. You can fuck yourself if you don't like it. This CD has classic songs like Suburban Home and Kabuki Girl. Statue of Liberty is a good song too. That song has one of the most interesting subjects ever. The Statue of Liberty was given to us by France to symbolize "Freedom" but the whole Statue of Liberty is a fucking joke anyway. We aren't that free and now we, apparently, hate France
Great CD, The Descendents laid a path for many bands. I hear countless bands cite the Descendents as insiration for their music. They are a huge inspiration for my band. So buy this CD.

Calling a record 'pop-punk' now-a-days invokes thoughts of pop bands playing under the facade of punk, such as Good Charlotte, New Found Glory, and other bands along those lines. This record is a reminder of a time when pop-punk was a genre of melodic hardcore, catchy hooks, and angsty lyrics. The Descendents' Milo Goes To College embodies everything that I've ever liked about classic pop-punk, and pushes the envelope of expectations by also making it VERY smart and VERY funny. Go buy it, sheep.

This album is the Sgt. Pepper for this legendary poppy punk group. A little known fact; after realeasing this album, Milo actually went to college.... I know... wierd isn't it? I didn't believe it at first either.
