well everybody else has pretty much told you what you need to know about this 7". I'll give you a story instead. you see my dad doesn't exactly like most punk rock, I've gotten him to appreciate some of it, but for the most part he only listens to typical 'dad music', hits from the 70's and 80's. well when I first turned this on, he looked at me like "c'mon josh, why are you making me listen to this again?" but then when he heard the line "when you're down and troubled, and you need a helping hand..." he burst out singing and could not believe that a bunch of punk rockers even knew who James Taylor was, let alone the fact that they were playing his music. right on.

Your standard Gimme Gimmes 7". Good, but not great. Two songs by one artist. These two, "Fire And Rain" and "You've Got A Friend", by James Taylor. "You've Got A Friend" begins in a parody of the Ramones "Blitzkrieg Bop." They have used this formula on countless other songs, and it always seems to work.

This is classic Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, but if you have not bought anything from MFATGG then do not buy this, because there are only two songs on it. I would recomend that someone new to MFATGG buy Blowin' in the wind or Have a ball. It is a good 7", but I think the songs on it are also on their cd Have A Ball.

Two awesome songs by MFATGG. I don't really know what they are covers of, of if they are covers at all, cuz I didn't recognize them. But they are great songs so if you're a fan then get this right away, cuz Interpunk never seems to have this record in stock, it took me forever to find it! Peace.

I am Adam not Laura. This 7" has some good covers on it. I am collecting all the Me First and the Gimme Gimmes 7"'s. Like, all the limited ones and stuff. Me First and the Gimme Gimmes are awesome. Buy an album too. "Fire and Rain" is on their album "Have A Ball" and I think "You've Got A Friend" is on one of their other albums......maybe "Blow In The Wind". Just buy stuff....its all good
