You know I forgot up to know how cool I thought Dave Mellow was as a bass player. What you have collected here are the demo sessions from Mox Nix and Plain Wrap! A split CD by GTA! What's the connection you say? One guitarist by the name of Don Burnet my fellow chum! Mox Nix was a bit rawer hardcore wise and had one Harry Bowles on vocals who sadly R.I.P. is no longer with us. Plain Wrap! on the other hand is the more seasoned brew on this disc. Don Burnet does both vocal and guitar duties on these tracks and Dave Mellow before joining Uniform Choice plays bass guitar. The CD is worth all your greasy pennies alone for the anthem opener "This is Punk Rock!" and it sure was Don. The Plain Wrap! tracks are my heroes on this disc. The only thing missing "sniff, sniff; sob, sob" are the tracks from the Plain Wrap! LP that came out on Enigma Records.

This is an excellent C.D. I've always been a fan of Plain Wrap, but I did not know that Mox Nix was the start of Plain Wrap. This is 2 C.D.s combined onto one, and both of them are demo tapes, making the recording imperfect. However, there is no difficulty in hearing the actual song; it's just not studio-perfect. I think it adds character to the album. This is excellent L.A. punk (both bands from Cypress). The songs are fast, short, and to the point. I would definatly recomend this C.D. to anyone that I know - it's just plain, good, classic punk rock at it's best.

Fucking great old school LA/OC Hardcore Punk. Plain Wrap were alright, but if you like sloppy lo-fi distorted, fast punk like I do, then you'll LOVE Mox Nix. Check this shit out if your idea of punk is turds like Rancid or The Casualties.
