Cholera are definitely not a band with much mainstream appeal, even for the deathcore genre. They do not have fancy melodies or over-the-top technicality, but that's not the point anyway. Cholera are doing things a bit different. For one, they are way more diverse than most deathcore bands. Even though "The Answer To Infection" is pretty short, you have to listen to it countless times until you eventually got all the details of the songs. The CD may not be perfect, but it's great that it doesn't get old after like three spins (like many other deathcore CDs).

Cholera are a band that undoubtably brings hope back into the deathcore genre. with every band out there in the underground scene trying to "out-heavy" the rest, Cholera do a pretty damn good job at displaying the aural equivalency of a tank prepared for war. the thing that i like so much about this mini album is how catchy it is. sure, the lyrics are pretty sophomoric (if you ask me) but it's the way in which they roll off the tongue that makes them effective. the production is pretty well done, too. the drums' fills are amazingly infectious, the guitars very "chugga chugga" but done tastefully, and the basslines are sick. not to mention, the two vocalists do a great job at displaying both highs and lows. bottomline is: if you are into deathcore, check these dudes out!
