Nice CD with a small magazine produced by the band for their 2002 summer tour. The EP starts off with what I think is the best song on it ‘Cause you don’t Know Me, upbeat catchy with a great guitar hook. What you have come to expect from this band. The next track Little Black Egg is interesting with an intriguing guitar hook that has a 60’s garage vibe to it. Are You Passionate (live) is really good. I have never seen these guys live but would imagine this captures them well. This has great sound quality for a live track, with a little crowd background noise but not enough to distract the listener. The next track is also live and is a medley of songs that clocks in at just over a minute and had me dancing the first time I heard it. A live album from the Ghoulies would be awesome. Lonely Heart Blues closes us and is also live. This is a very good song that translates well live. When I hear it I can see couples dancing in poodle skirts to this song. Then after that is over they do medley of punk rock classics which is worth the $7. I suggest you pick this up if you like garage punk and soon, as it is almost out of stock on Interpunk and is long out of print.

if you truly like the groovie ghoulies, then you should have this cd. there is no excuse not to have this. if you don't like the groovie ghoulies - and you're reading this - then you're dumber than i first assumed. personally, my favorite ghoulie albums are "fun in the dark" and "travels with my amp", but this is still good shit. kind of expensive? maybe ... well, yeah, i guess. but if you're not willing to spend a little of your hard-earned money on a cd by a band you CLAIM to be a true fan of, then you, my friend, are a POSER. not because you don't like the ghoulies enough to buy this mini-cd (that's a forgivable offense), but because you present yourself to your fellow punks in a way that is obviously fake, and that solely exists because you lack the self-esteem and fucking integrity to express your opinions. fuck you.
i really don't know what that last part had to do with the cd. i guess i wrote it concerning this amazing new found popularity for pop-"punk" bands. i guess the only good thing to come of it will be seeing which bands value money over creativity, and which bands were REAL PUNK BANDS from the start.

You can never go wrong with the Groovie Ghoulies -- and the mini zine makes this purchase all the more fabuloso! The crazies from Sacramento are right on with their Cerieal picks -- buy this CD to find out what I'm talking about.
