This CD is Thursday. Raw as it gets for these guys. Its amazing to see the progression of this band from this CD to now Common Existence. I have been a huge fan of these guys from the begging. The live tracks absolutely blow me away and will do the same to you! Buy this CD!

I acctually bought this CD only for Jet Black New Year. I didn't really care for the live tracks, they fail to capture the energy of seeing Thursday live. That being said if you like Thursday buying this CD for Jet Black New Year alone is worth it. That song is electric and feirce. I've listened to that song 4x in a row.

there is absolutely no point to this cd...if they wanted to put out a live cd...put out a live lp not and ep...5 songs come is that... the only thing that saved this cd from gettin a 1 is that they are kick ass live and this cd shows it...they've always been. ever since their first show in rickley's basement...the full collapse is def their best work yetif you're into thursday and haven't heard it yet get the waiting cd...

Yay, live Thursday. This shows off the awesomeness of a live Thursday show. You can just feel the intensity. There could have been more tracks and maybe some old songs, but it is good for what it is. 'Jet Black New Year' is definitely a favorite song of mine. Reccomended for Thursday fans.

Not as good as Full Collapse by any means. It's still a pretty good album, though. Also, before you listen to Jet Black New Year, read all the stories in the liner notes. You'll get the song more. I was there when this album was recorded, so it was awesome to hear the songs again. Buy it if you like Thursday.

I really don't know what to say about this. For one thing, the live songs are recorded terribly - one of the guitars (I think Steve) is a bit flat, Geoff's vocals are far too low in the mix, and the instruments just aren't equalized or balanced correctly. I've seen Thursday live a whole bunch of times (including the Warped Tour that this was recorded at), and I NEVER remember them sounding as bad as this CD makes them come off. And if you think that this CD makes them sound great, well then, imagine how good this COULD have sounded. Then there's "Jet Black New Year". I'm not sure what to make of this song. It's obviously in a different vain than either Full Collapse or Waiting, but that's not at all what bothers me. I think the song sounds slapped together, part-wise. Granted, this CD was really a copout so that Thursday could get out of their contract with Victory Records, and I have no problem with that, but I'd think that they wouldn't disgrace themselves too. On the plus side, Geoff has never sounded better, and the intensity level is up like five notches. But I'd be wary of buying the CD. If nothing else, just download "Jet Black New Year".

Saw Thursday at the Asbury Park Warped Tour where they recorded this, and it brings back memories of my first warped experience. This CD had some of their best songs from their set, plus Jet Black New Year, which is also a good song.
