Good Clean Fun

Positively Positive 1997-2002

Equal Vision 74

Released on October 15, 2002

$9.50
Buy

Good Clean Fun has released 2 full-length albums, and dedicated their lives to touring full time. After playing shows all over the US, Canada, Europe, Australia, Israel and South America, they quickly became recognized as one of the hardest working bands around. By the time 2001 ended, the band had played over 500 shows -- pretty impressive for a group of guys that do it ALL themselves -- from booking tours, to recording, to releasing their own records! Can you say DIY? Good Clean Fun can! The release on EVR, entitled Good Clean Fun: Positively Positive 1998-2002 includes all the Good Clean Fun songs on one convenient CD, as well as a couple of previously unreleased tracks.

Now this is a grand cd, one that should be in any edge man's collection, songs that make you laugh and make you cry. Is it too hard to understand? This year the band turns 10 I believe, whoot whoot, happy birthday guys! Can I be the in your vegan chocolate cake? PLEASE?????

I'm going to be honest, I haven't listened to this all the way through and that's because there are too many songs on it. I enjoyed their newest album and the reason this gets three stars is this: one star comes off because while they are a cool, fun hardcore band, there is little to no variation in their sound. The other star comes off because as far as anthologies go, this one is hard to swallow. While it is cheaper to buy this than to purchase the other albums separately, I think that doing just that would make it easier to enjoy each song individually, and they may be related to reason number one.

I enjoy it for it giving me the ability to hear one song at a time when every once and a while when my music library is on random, but I can't really memorize too many of them because the songs are all very similar and I could never listen to them all in a row. I recommend their newest effort because of its value as a single album and the fact that it is quite good anyway.

this is a fun fun record. it goes by in no time despite all the songs. im in need of their new record now. i love the straight edge vegan pride and funny, comical lyrics in almost every song. just a different way of presenting something so many people try to jam down your throats. excellent bad.

Dan not Patti. this is some great posi old school hardcore. Their message is so uplifting and is sure to get you in a good mood. instead of listening to all this negative screaming shit, put on this record and mosh all day to this great posicore band.

This is an amazing cd! Definitely my 'good mood' cd. But you should really listen to it all the time for it's positive message and tendency to be upbeat. I don't agree with alot of their message, but overall it's a great record. I would highly recommend it. Good Clean fun is the best.

Before I bought this, the only GCF I had heard was "Last Night I Dreamt. . . " and loved it. It's good old-school hardcore/hardcore punk, in the vein of Minor Threat or Help Me Help Me I Can't Breathe. It's good stuff, and it's nice not to have someone telling me to be straight edge or screaming to the same hardcore riffs while wearing girl pants and bandanas. Weather you're a big GCF fan, or just looking for a new band to check out-- buy this album, you won't regret it!
