Green Day

Reprise / Wea 48208.2

Released on July 2, 2002

Shenanigans, an odds and sods collection of rarities, B-sides, covers, and previously unreleased material, is the latest addition to Green Day's oeuvre and a surprisingly welcome one. Who would have thought that Mike, Tre, and Billie Joe could have pulled off such a tune as the super-horned surf-spy track "Espionage"? They also tackle the Kinks' "Tired of Waiting" and the Ramones' classic "Outsider" with panache. "I Want to Be on TV" demonstrates the band's Buzzcocks influence, and the previously unreleased "Ha Ha You're Dead," which closes the album, has potent, overdriven guitars and a delightfully snide chorus to drive it home.

It's pretty good. I like the songs and all but I also can understand why they didn't put these songs on any albums. None of the songs have a hit sound like some songs off Dookie and whatnot.

this was an awesome cd. green day is such a great band. if you like green day, especially there older cds, this cd is the one too bye. it has 3 covers which are awesome and b-side and unrelesed tracks. out of all there cds this one is probably the 2nd or 3rd best. (1 is dookie and 2 is nimrod) GREAT CD
