Count Me Out

Indecision 48

Released on April 30, 2002

After the turn of the millennium, it seems as though there have been very few hardcore bands that still continued to embrace the straight edge banner and all the drama that seemingly comes with it. Although "not labeling" yourself has become the new traditional norm, Virginia's Count Me Out have made it a point not to sway with the winds just because everyone else seems to be blowing away with it. Now on the cusp of the release of their sophomore effort, Permanent, the Richmond boys return with lofty ideals in hand and the initiative to push themselves again musically as well as lyrically. Though akin to the traditional hardcore played by bands such as Chain of Strength, they are in no way a "rehash" band and have consciously tried to mix in a strong degree of melody as well as a little new school mosh into their songs. Ten brand new songs that will make a believer out of even the most jaded and cynical. XXX.

What can I say about count me out...absolutly amazing. This cd is nothing new really since 110 but they do what they do so well its amazing. I have seen them live a ton of times and its too bad they are no longer together, if you are into hardcore and dont own this or the other count me out albums, shame on you. This album and 110 are MUST owns!

Wow... it's ferocious and complex, but the meaning always comes back and shows itself in a heartfelt way. Get this CD now... Against the World is one of the greatest songs I have ever heard.

Count Me Out was an amazing band. I am glad I was able to see them a couple of times before they broke up. This LP is amazing, so pick it up! Against the world and Stakes Is High are the best tracks on the album.

Best CD I've bought in one hell of a long time, just does not get boring. South Street has to be the best song on the CD, and is followed by Disconnect, which is not very far from second best. Theres not much youll want to skip on this CD, its one of those limited few where you can leave your fingers off of the FF button. I have to agree with someone who reviewed 110, this guy has got a great voice.

One more legendary band to come out of Indecision...and unfortunately one more band that is already history
