This is Between the Buried and Me's first album. If you've heard "Silent Circus", this is a step down from that because "Silent Circus" is definitely their best. This self-titled CD is really good for being their first release. There is a noticeable change from this self-titled CD to their other two. The music isn't as technical, but Tommy's voice is still awesome. There's a lot more singing in this album...which isn't a bad thing. Tommy does an amazing job singing. This album seems more personal than the other two. Definitely a good buy though. I love listening to this CD when I've had enough crazy guitar solos in "Silent Circus" and "Alaska".

This is one of my favorite metalcore records. The guitars are tight as hell, and Tommy's vocals are awesome. I would recommend this album for anyone who likes metal or hard music. A classic.

Wow this cd is nuts, crazy fast screaming like converge or curl up and die to heavy ass breakdowns and some melodic parts. A Cd you've never heard, highly recommended for fans of converge, hatebreed, throwdown, eighteen visions. Some people say hey like this one better than they're new one "The silent circus" on Victory Records, I would get that one first but either way both kick ass albums that you surely wont be dissapointed with

Simply Put: One of the best Hardcore/Metalcore cds I have ever heard. Up there with Poison The Well's "The Opposite Of December" and Dead To Fall's "Everything I Touch Falls To Pieces". This Album is coated with beauty, And reeks of Brutality. "Aspirations" and "More Of Myself To Kill" are the standout tracks, But every single track on here is amazing. If you have not bought this cd yet, 1) Buy it. 2) Inflict pain upon your body.

brutal....that is the word for this cd...pure brutality. at the first second of this cd is starts off with Tommy's awesome growling vocals that go all over from a deep black/death metal growl to a very sweet singing voice that is very incredible.the music on this disc is specatacular and the guys have have so much talent. i had the pleasure of seeing these guys live a month or so ago with Dead to Fall, and these two bands put on the best show i have ever seen.I't so cool this band is on Victory now, cuz it has the most awesome hardcore and emo bands. This cd is undescribable, you have to get this cd if you love hardcore and all types of metal. also get "everything i touch falls to pieces" by Dead To Fall, also on Victory.
