Hot Hot Heat

Knock Knock Knock

Sub Pop 594

Released on April 23, 2002

$10.25
Buy

Combining '60s mod rock, '70s prog and '80s new wave/punk, this Victoria, British Columbia quartet have created their own style of danceable pop oddities. Responses to the band often cite such varied influences as the quirks of early XTC, the solid, blues-based rhythms of Led Zeppelin or the melodic hooks of The Cure.

Well e.p's dont really do anything for me really but this one is GOOD. 5 cuts of recent H.H.H with the new singer,Steve Bays. It really is the exact progression from 'scenes 1...'.You can tell a lot more effort and time has gone into these songs. Plus the cd is really neat too! half see through..gets points in my book!

It's pretty good. Better than "Make Up the Breakdown", but not as good as "Scenes One Through...". If you are just getting into Hot Hot Heat, buy this. If you like it, buy "Make Up the Breakdown". If not, buy "Scenes One Through...". Indie rock with keyboards. Kinda danceable.
