With their eclectic fusion of hallowing and scream-filled vocals, lashing guitars, and melodic overtones, THE YOUNG AND THE USELESS create a musical experience that is uniquely harsh as well as comforting. "A Smile Is No Good For Me" is the definitive musical therapy for the most heartbroken of hardcore kids.

honestly I'm a little dissapointed with this c.d,i mean it's not bad but i expected more. I first heard of this band after i watched the Furnace Fest 2002 dvd where i heard the song an explanation is worthless. When i listened to it on the c.d i was a little disappointed, i found it's a lot better live. But it's worth buying if you're looking for something new.

Like it hard, fast, and loud, but yet still melodic? This is it! Heart felt screaming vocals without the ever so generic "Jordan Pudnik"(NFG)whiny vocals. But by all means is not poppy what so ever. These guys are definately blowing up!!! They have even toured Puerto Rico with Stretch Arm Strong. If you like Stretch, Poison the Well, or Grade you will probably dig this.
