This Day Forward

Eulogy 35

Released on February 19, 2002

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

This Day Forward cannot be pigeonholed into any one category of music. With each release, the band has been able to find it;'s own legs and create a new experience in music, while still maintaining the honesty and brutality that is helping TDF in becoming one of the most prominent underground bands today. "Kairos" featured an aggressive blend of hardcore, metal, and indie rock. The transition and combination of styles seems to be an effortless task for TDF, and this record will be one of the most talked about releases for 2002.

good CD didn't quite nail it like they did on in response. just imagine thursday meets refused straight up. That's this day forward, but don't let that quote scare you off they are far from a knock off and nothing short of spectacular

This cd has a very special place in my heart, and I can't help but smile every time I listen to it. I wish that every time I played this cd I could go back and experience it all over again....Anyway, beyond the sentimental value (yeah, that's right, a bunch of guys screaming and crunching chords on guitars can have sentimental value), this is just a really great cd. This album is much better than "In Response", but it does make me a little upset that it's only 5 songs. I guess genius just comes in small doses for This Day Forward. Highly recommended for fans of Hopesfall, Poison the Well, and others.

this day forward's sound is really hard to explain, but if i had to call it anything it would probably just be great, great hardcore. the songs on this ep are amazing, they are often times non linear but the melodies will still stick in your head. the vocals are especially great, with youthful yelling and screaming and occasional singing. overall if you like hopesfall or from autumn to ashes you will definetly like this.

i wasn't too big on this cd. it seemed a bit too unorganized, but i think it shows really great potential for their next cd which is due out through equal vision.

oh yes, oh yes these ladies are all nude, they're not even wearing a smile, wait a minute, that can't be right? this cd is so good i can't beleive it. to be honest i got this because geoff from thursday sings the last song(for the most part) but the rest of it was suprising. when i first heard tdf i wrote them off as another converge clone. not to say they weren't good, but i'd rather have converge. anyhow mike totally changed his vocals. he now sings and screams instead of just screaming. the music has matured a lot as well. this is short but solid release by it because it rocks and so will your collection if you get it. by the by get the transceint effects.. triple 7 in before they're gone. it rocks pretty well to.

This cd is much different than prior releases. the music is unbelievably intricate as usual but the vocals are quite a change from the previous throaty growl. its almost as if the vocalist doesn't seem to get into it as much. still a great album despite the vocal changes, a highly recommended release if you like the band. i anticipate good things to come of this new sound.
