Spits Debut

Nickel And Dime 1

Released on August 28, 2001

The debut full-length from this juvenile punk and new wave action squad who caught the kids by surprise as the supporting act on a recent Briefs/Real McKenzies tour. Nine tracks of three-chord punk with deadpan wave-oid overtones from one of the only bands who can claim both mohawks and mustaches as integral parts of their persona.

I Love the spits thats why it saddens me to say this is by far their worst release, but it does come with one classic I H8 PUSSIES is a tight track! try their recess rec. release or any of their slovenly releases if you wana hear the way The Spits are really supose to sound

The Spits are amazing. Really awesome New Wave/Punk Rock sounds with edgy and funny lyrics. This is what Devo would have sounded like if they were a little more punk.

this cd is ok, i like the 2nd and 3rd albums a lot more than this one, they get a lot of respect for being "different" or "original" but they're really not .. they sound exactly like a mix of Devo meets the Ramones, nothing more, don't get me wrong this is a good cd all together but i think that because music just plain sucks nowadays these guys are considered to be really good, when in comparison to present day music, really isn't saying much

This is a good disc, its hard to describe. '77 style punk (ala the damned) but lo fi and catchy as hell. I particularly like the songs with the keyboards. Kind of similar to the Briefs
