Grade kicks ass and this is my favorite album they did. I wish they were still togather, but such good things rarely last. Best songs are Numbers 3 & 4 in my opinion. This is different from the earlier Grade CDs, in that it's a more ambient recording, less polished than seperate the magnets, yet more rockin........

THIS WOULD OF BEEN ONE OF THE BEST CDS to ever come out of Victroy yet the recording quality will leave u wanting more. It's like victory had nothing to do with this album. BUT THIS Cd is only 2nd to under the radar b/c of recording quality.

All you stupid kids who think From Autumn To Ashes and shit like that is new and the real deal you need to be schooled the fuck up. Grade was tearing shit up way before these so called new school "emo-core" bands. Without Grade there would be no Thursday, no A Static Lullaby, none of that new fangled shit that you guys clamour up to as amazing. This is album is the shit for sure. The album cover is crazy as fuck yet it is probably one of the best covers I've ever seen on a record. You need to buy this album and get schooled my friends, this was made when emo core wasn't a stupid fad, this shit isn't even emo it's just dumb asses like you guys label this shit that way. This albums crazy, probably thier best I dunno thier early stuff slays as well. Too bad all the members (except Bishop who knows where he went) went to stupid bands after Grade's demise. Jersey sucked after thier first album, Somehow Hallow is somehow awful and oddly enough the basist plays for Avril Lavigne, weird eh? Anyway with a fucking wicked awesome cover and creepy lyrics what is not to love about Grade? My favorite song is Bleeding Warm And Newly Dead. School the fuck up kids this is the real deal, not some fad shit that you guys claim is soooooooo fucking great. Fuck glam hardcore, this is real deal none of that bullshit fad stuff. Buy this kids.

Grade is a very talented band. I love the singers voice, it's really great. The guitarists aswell make some awesome ass sounds and melodies. Much like the cover art, the album is dark, and in this case, dark is very very good!!! I would recommend this cd to anyone who likes really talented bands...I give it a 5 although it deserves a 10.

ok,this is matt...not sandra and this is Grades best cd by far! some seem to think that under the radar is their best, but i find it to have a bit to much of a pop sound for my taste, still good though! this cd has some of the best lyrics i have ever heard! best tracks include "termites hollow" and "bleeding warm and newly dead" although there really isn't a bad song on this cd! much more dark and serious then any of thier other releases.

Although I dont consider this to be Grades best album (I think 1999's "Under the Radar to be a better album)Headfirst Straight to Hell is a classic example of Victory Records style hardcore. Kyle Bishop's vocals are more raw on this album than any other Grade album, but he still actually sings on two of my favorite tracks: "Little Satisfactions" and "In Ashes We Lie". The last track on the CD "Winds of Hell/the Glorious Dead" is 16 minutes of the sounds of the netherworld, and is one of the strangest things I have ever heard on a CD. I have no idea why they bothered to include it. This is CD is a must buy for Grade fans, but if you are new to the band I suggest starting with "Under the Radar"

Bad ass sums it up. How can you not want to buy this album? Just look at the frickin' cover, it rules. Not to mention the music...hah. Ok, emotional, intelligent, hypnotic tunes that will drill themselves into your brain. Don't look back. The future awaits. Just buy the damned cd.
