Modest Mouse

Moon & Antarctica

Epic 63871

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

The latest full length from Modest Mouse showcases the band's best songwriting yet. Lyrically dark, this cohesive album is a nice companion to the Build Nothing Out of Something compilation. Every song on The Moon and Antarctica has been perfected, while producer Brian Deck of Red Red Meat links everything together.

Meh...I don't know, I guess I just got pretty bored with this cd, and some of the tracks I just flat out don't like, like "Tiny Cities Made of Ashes". There are also some good songs on here, so it's not an awful cd, but definitely get "This is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About" if you're gonna get a Modest Mouse album.

Also, just a warning, Modest Mouse is pretty boring live, and don't play any of their good songs.

I don't really think this CD even needs a review, but here we are. Mr. Brock aka Ugly Casanova is a mad man and his music shows it. Every song has it's own distinct trait, almost as if the CD is having a mood swing. Modest Mouse are one of THE best indie rock bands of the 90's and their music is almost impossible to describe. It doesn't matter what you listen to, everyone should own a copy of this CD. Instant classic.

modest mouse is amazing, they variety of music they ave on one album will blow your mind, although i was upset to hear one of their songs on a nissan commercial yesterday, but oh well this music is simply some of the best i ahve ever heard, it doesnt resemble punk much so if thats the market your in i recommend skipping this one, but if you jsut like good music pick it up.
