I sure do love me some Bright Eyes. This is certainly not the happiest of their albums, but it is very, very good. Songs that will move you to tears and send chills through your body. Warning: Keep all sharp objects at a safe distance before popping in this CD. It's a doozy. Plus, the album cover contains an actual mirror, so you can check yourself out while you listen! Woo!

This is different than most of the bright eyes albums that have come out more recently. It's a little darker and is a little difficult to get into at first. But once you listen to it a few times it will quickly become one of your favorite bright eyes albums. I recomend buying the record on this one, the cd doesn't do the music enough justice.

Im glad i didnt review this cd until a while after i bought it, because my first reaction was not all that great. But now i wonder if it is my favorite bright eyes cd. Its hard to say, but this is a fantastic album worth more than 5 stars. I simply love "the calender hangs itself", "something vague" and "a song to pass the time". marvelous songs.

although its true that bright eyes and connor oberst have been blown a little out of proportion, it would be a lie to say this album doesn't show clear talent from him. probably my favorite bright eyes cd, fevers and mirrors is a little more acceptable than lifted was at first, and yet it doesn't sacrifice any of the unique characteristics of oberst's music. very emotional both lyrically and musically, this is definately a cd worth buying.

great album. pretty much what you would expect from conor. it flows great from one song to the other but after you hear 'an attempt to tip the scales' a couple times the fake interview kinda gets old and you just skip it. nonetheless, this cd is worth getting just for something vague alone. buy this album!

I hadn't heard that much of Bright Eyes before I ordered this along with the "Lifted..." cd. The main reason I bought these two albums, though, is because he's playing a show in Norway in about a month.
I received this item 5 days ago, and Bright Eyes have firmly established themselves as on of my favourite artists. That doesn't happen often. It usually takes awhile before I can talk of a band as warmly as about Bright Eyes.
His lyrics are great, his talent is obvious, and the melodies are amazing. If you cover those two criteria, you're well on your way! I can't wait to see Conor live, and I'm eagerly awaiting his next two simultaneous releases.
