Wire

Pink Flag (Remastered)

Released on June 29, 2018

$16.50

Digitally remastered edition. Pink Flag is the debut studio album by English band Wire. It was released in November 1977, through Harvest Records. Though the album failed to chart on it's initial release, it has been widely acclaimed and is considered by critics and other commentators to have been highly influential on many other musicians since it's release. Wire's first three albums need no introduction. They are the three classic albums on which Wire's reputation is based. Moreover, they are the recordings that minted the post-punk form. This was adopted by other bands, but Wire were there first. The digipack CDs have identical tracklistings to their vinyl counterparts. These versions should be considered Wire's classic 1970s albums, pure and undiluted.

Wire was a great art-punk band that wasn't pretentious or gay. This album has a lot of songs, most of which are pretty short, and all of which are good. Everyone has a boner for this album, and understandably so. Minor Threat, Big Black, and the New Bomb Turks are some bands that liked Wire so much they covered their songs. Oh, also this is the best album of theirs you can get.

This album is the very definition of perfect. The songs are amazing, the order is great, and even the space in between the songs seems right. The songs combine social commentary common in '77 punk with subtle and clever humor. In the end, it's one of the most complete punk albums ever made.

Good album. I've had it for a long time and I still like it. Blah blah blah. More writing. Still more writing. I don't know what else to say. Yup.

Alright...so it's obvious that the person below me is a fucking idiot. I hate fucking Invader Zim fanatics. Anyway, classic album. A must have for any music fan. My favorite thing about Wire is how their songs dowm drag on 'till their boring. Steve Albini's fav band. Highly Recommended
