Teen Beat

Coldfront 56

Released on March 6, 2001

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

What does $65,000 and three studios in two continents do for a pop punk record? "Teenbeat"! This record is huge. After Marky Ramone produced their last full length, the boys went it a lone this time, and the results were amazing. Powerful pop punk built with thundering drums, monstrously huge guitars, and vocal harmony ala the BEACH BOYS.

This album disappointed me. The songs Pray For The Sun, Do The Gal-i-gator, The Return Of Randy, and Alright do a great job at mixing the Beach Boys with Ramones style pop-punk, creating really these catchy fun songs... but the rest of the album just falls flat on its face. There is no other way to say it, most of this album just isn't interesting to me and it has put me off from buying any other Travoltas releases.

This is an almost perfect album filled with catchy choruses and guitar riffs that will make you bob your head repeatily. The production on this is amazing and I think that's what makes this so great. The songs are so deep with electronic keyboards going on and loud guitars and huge drums. I never heard any of their stuff before so I kind of took a risk on this one. It turned out to be one of the best purchases I've made in a while. Now this is a bit poppy and I really wouldn't classify this as punk. But I can hear ALOT of different influences in this album such as Beach Boys, Ramones, Green Day, Blink 182, and The Postal Service. All of the songs are really awesome and my only complaint is that it's kinda short. The best songs are You Got What I Need, Pacific Coast Highway, Under The Stars, Alright, Do The Gal-i-Gator, and Get Out Of My Car. So as you can see, that's pretty much the whole cd. It's that good. BUY IT!

Chewy, bubblegummy pop-punk. Think Ramones meet the Beach Boys meet synthpop. Wonderful lyrics, especially considering English isn't their native language.

If you like The Queers and Weezer, you'll probably love The Travoltas.

Pacific Coast Highway!!!!

Great CD !! Travoltas are one of my new favorite bands and this record is their greatest. Catchy melodies, great harmonies, for all you beach boys, queers or ramones fans out there, this is a must have CD

Joe Queer's "Dont back down" is not anymore! Teenbeat is filled with catchy Beach Boys/Ramones inspired songs and it's the popiest Travoltas album! The studio recording is impeccable, the guitars sounds real hard and the singer is simply great!!! The last song "Under the stars" will make you start dreaming!

This is a great car CD and it's perfect for partys! It will get girls in the mood!

I like this cd alot.. Pray For Sun and Pacific Coast Highway are really bad ass songs. They are basically the Beach Boys on speed. And they arent even American! That just gives them even more of my respect! Get this cd!
