Haha, its Zao alright. This seems to be one of their more experimental records, with interesting drum patterns and guitars. While not as fast some of Zao's older cds, this title makes up for it in a heavier, and slower (but beautifully coordinated) approach. Songs like "5 Year Winter," "Trashcanhands" (one of my favorites), and "The Race of Standing Still" are instant classics. Other songs like "Witchhunter" and "FJL" showcase a softer side of Zao. Overall, this album is pretty solid, as are all Zao cds. My only complaint are when the backup vocals kick in on "The End of His World." (They're kinda cheesy sounding...but, yea.) Other than that, everything else is good. If you really want a great Zao cd, try "Liberate Te Ex Inferis" or "Where Blood and Fire." Those are two of Zao's more definitive albums.

this cd is good. but i think the only way you would like it is if you hadnt heard the other cds. The funny thing about this cd is that there are none of the original members on this cd. on their second cd they lost two original members and on their third they lost one and now they have no original members. So i dont really think that can call themselfs Zao anymore. Some songs still sound the same as the other cds but others are slower. This cd lacks the fast beats and cool breakdowns that older Zao could do so well.
