This is my favorite Old Man Gloom outing, although Christmas is amazing. This one is full of dark moody ladscapes and a determined drive forward. This OMG is the centerpiece of what Arron Turner, of ISIS, Caleb Scofield of Cave In, with other musicians from Converge. Damn. Now, rumored is a Cave In/Converge band dubbed "Virgin," these guys mix and match members so well, it's almost like cornering the market.

Caleb from Cave-In is on vocals for the most part on this album. Although Seminar 3 is my favorite, Seminar 2 is very good, actually the longest out of all 3. It sounds even better when you are stoned.

sick. experimental. not for everyone... every other track is experimental fuzz and noise... but when they rock out, they rock out. good shit.

This is one incredible album. It creates an atmosphere that is uncomparable to anything else. And yes, if you do listen to this high it will fucking blow your mind.

Have a joint, lie back and then listen to this through headphones for the entirity of the album. You will be amazed by the soundscapes.

old man gloom is an unparalleled sonic experience. if isis is your brain old man gloom is your brain on drugs. lots of drugs. its difficult to listen to but its worth it when you get done. please do not get this and just listen to one song at a time, take an hour out of the day to sit in a dark room with the headphones on and take it all in really loud. comparisons are hard cause its beyond anything ive ever heard before for sludginess and noisiness. maybe neurosis or isis if they died and their ghosts haunted a recording studio. anyway get this and listen to it high, itll probably kill you.
