I bought this because I like Hell Yes, and I like My Standard Break From Life even more. But the version up for sale now is a reissue and My Standard Break From Life is NOT the b-side, it's Burn (Tim Armstrong remix). Still worth it for the collector, but I'm disappointed they didn't update the item description to correct the tracklisting...

If you don't own the UK version of 'From Here To Infirmary'buy this 7". If you don't own a record player, buy one and then buy this! 'From Here...' is Alk 3's most accesible CD, so now you have NO EXCUSES...do yourself a favour and check them out.

Alkaline Trio never fails to please. This 7 inch has some sweet cover artwork and a nice set of tunes. Pick it up if you enjoy these booze-filled chicago punks.

My name's Josh. Damn, I need to get a credit card. Anyway, when I bought this 7", for some reason I didn't realize it was a record. I should have known it was, but I wasn't paying attention when I got it. I just thought it was a good price so I got it. I had to go wipe the dust off of our old record player and put it on. I had already heard Hell Yes and it is still amazing after all these times I've listened to it. The other song, My Standard Break From Life, is also very good. All in all, it's two great songs on one great record. It doesn't stand up to their full-length releases like From Here To Infirmary, which is, in my opinion, their best, but that's obvious. This would be an easy 5 stars to give it, but since I'm more of a CD guy and I was stupid enough to not realize it was a record when i purchased it, it gets only four. But if you don't mind records and you like Alkaline Trio, buy it. You won't be disappointed.

Great 7 inch from a great band. Whether your a fan or just getting into them this is for you. There's nothing really that different from typical Alk 3 stuff, but you know, it's still great. SO GET IT!
Now I dont have anywhere else to vent this, but I have something to say about all you stupid assholes out there who call yourself "punk" but spend your entire life critisizing and mocking punk bands. Punk is about acceptance and unity, and you who write reviews explaining why Anti-Flag sucks and shit, it's all a bunch of shit, your just an asshole and you wouldn't accept peace and unity any more than fucking Mr. Bush would. Anti-Flag is an amazing fucking band- and you hate them just because there music is more complex than 2 chords and screaming. That doesn't mean they sold out. And of course there music changed from their older stuff- you expect a band to not advance or change at all? That's sick and your gonna grow out of this "punk" phase of yours soon and sell out like all your other "street-punk" chums.
Be fucking kind. Kindness=punk.
Love, Luke

This is a really cool 7''.Left it a while to review.Wanted to wait till it was gone! Ha Ha! I've got one!!Hell Yes is a great song one of the best on the album and the b-side standard break from life is good too, even though its also on the album. If you like Alkaline Trio I reccomend you buy Freewheelin' by Dan's old band Tuesday,Slapstick '25 songs' by one of his older bands still and Skibas split with Kevin Seconds.By the way i strongly reccomend The Terror State by Anti Flag, just got it and it rocks! Take Care All and if your lucky you might find one of these babys on Ebay!

Well, 1)its on vinyl, 2)its alk 3, and 3)its on Lookout. How can you go wrong? Two songs on this bad mamma jamma, "Hell Yes" and "My Standard Break From Life". "Hell Yes" is classic Alk 3 and "My Standard Break From Life" has a tiny hint of a Green Day influence on it. Great 7", defenitely add this one to your collection.

'hell yes' alone makes this cd. and what beats five dollars? hell, i dont even have a working record player, and i have to listen to this at a friends house. the 'vagrant records- another year on the streets- volume two' has the cd version of hell yes, if cd is your fancy. personally, it feels good just to hold this in my hands. its all nice and... red.
oh yes, and 'my standard break from life' is another great song.
id buy this just to keep as a desk ornament ::looks around greedily:: ... it looks nice on your desk, and it provides two great catchy songs for when youre feeling down. alkaline always puts a smile on my face. put one on yours.

Eveyone should have this 7", My Standard Break From Life is definately one of my favorite ALK3 songs and Hell yes is also very good. Classifying it as sounding like the new greenday is just a cop out so buy it and see for yourself.
