Get Up Kids

Red Letter + Woodson (Remastered)

Doghouse 75

Released on January 5, 2001

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

Doghouse has put the Get Up Kids earliest releases on one CD, remastered and repackaged for your listening pleasure. Both the earliest CD release, a s/t CDEP (also known as Woodson), and the Red Letter Day ep are presented here - 9 songs in all. Although all the songs are still available in their original formats, the CD versions will be discontinued shortly. This is the first time these songs have been combined together for the US market, previously available only in the Japanese release.

when this album was remasterbated, I was excited, cause I knew right then and there that my penis would delight in such a masturbatory endeavor. Wait is this the Get Off Kids of yore, I do remember them playing songs and playing with myself (on guitar of course) strumming the mighty flexible string the great pubis, this record has consummated many evenings without much avail when becoming of a man that plays with women, yet this man is so mighty, he procreates macroscopically, in a way that is myopic yet solo. The humble beginnings and the somewhat introspective middle part, this is the get up kids, getting off on their jams, it's exciting and almost humbling to hear One Year Later bathed in my fine linen and soft pillow from which the bite marks become close to permanent. On lonely nights this record is the soundtrack the rising linen ghost of the bone. The songs show a minimalistic sense of musicanship, without the keyboard or sans keyboard as french assholes love to say. Not the whole thing the first part is a hold over EP, which is mighty in principal, such as a mighty bone that reaches to the sky and penetrates the very fabric of the atmosphere, almost as mythical! Oh the songs on here entertain and delight and in a way bring joy to a saddened man who is softened in the bone. The men make music, that delights purely.

i like this cd a lot, but i don't think it's as good as something to write home about or on a wire. i think the first half of the cd is better than the second. it's definatly worth buying especially if you like them.

This cd marks the uprising of the GUK's from their first song ever made together "Woodson" to other great's such as "Mass Pike". It's alot more post punk/indie than any other release but by far one of their greatest so if your a fan of the GUK's i recommend you buy this immediatly because I live in the area where the GUK's are from and I haven't found it anywhere but this site....

On this CD The Get Up Kids are awesome. The only Get Up Kids cd that are better are 4 minute mile, and perhaps Something To Write Home About. If you like the Get Up Kids get 4 minute mile right now!

this cd is pretty good i enjoyed it, but four minute mile is better. some songs are better than others, but you know, you can't make a masterpiece everytime, rawk on.

AWESOME release by an amazing band! Perfect place to start for the first time Get Up Kids listener. I was expecting low quality because it collects their first two EPs, but boy was I surprised. Perfect companion to Something to Write Home About. Just get this CD if you like well-written indie rock/emo/whatever you wanna call it.
