I saw this one before and I had considered buying it, but it didn't make it into my order. I was looking at again and decided to add it. I like the band name heh and this is a really cool chill cd. Great vocals and good beats. If you want something to relax to or put on before you go to sleep I highly suggest it. I dig it though anytime, I've been playing it often.

This record is so smooth its amazing. I had some the songs downloaded and enjoyed them, but when you play the album in its entirety and in corrector order it becomes that much more amazing. The music itself is mellow and nice, but its complemented by the vocals so nicely. I recommend this if your into calm music.

This is Mike Kinsella's best band, in my opinion, and it's a shame it's lifespan was so brisk. American Football is easy listening at it's finest, and can always be played to brighten the mood in any room.
Suprising enough, this album can also fuel me enough to keep me entertained during workout periods, which says measures to the intensity of this album.
Get this album if you are a fan of the Kinsellas, and wish to see how their music evolved over time.
Hell, just get this album. It's good music for everybody, regardless of taste.

Softcore at it's best. I love this album. Just smooth indie rock with some nice trumpet/flugal horn thrown in. I love it, something different to listen to. If you like collosal, mos def pick this up.

Two words, Mike Kinsella. That is all you have to know. One of the most brilliant songwriters and musicians you will ever come across. American Football's music will slowly thrift you off in a long journey of emotion.

American Football's self-titled disc is one of the best indie releases ever, hands down. That should be reason enough to buy this record. It's airy, tranquil (but not boring), and just all-around GOOD music. It's one of those albums you can put in your car CD player and just go driving for hours with no real destination in mind. Trust me, you won't be let down.

With this cd i expected a lot, and it met all expectations. Mike Kinsella has put out some of the most premiere bands and written some of the most beautiful music i have ever heard. This CD is well done and is great to listen to when you have had a hard day, or when you just feel like curling up in a blanket and laying on the floor.

This album is incredibly well done, well played, well written and well sung. This album is insanely relaxing with a lot of emotion put into it. I also reccomend the OWEN CD if you like this one. Mike Kinsella is incredible as a singer and songwriter, you will not be dissapointed with this CD. I also reccomend the OWLS CD, but only if you like less conventional sounding music (TIM KINSELLA is a very weird singer). AMERICAN FOOTBALL NEEDS TO GET BACK TOGETHER AND PUT OUT ANOTHER CD. Not much out there can beat this.

if youre looking for a really bittersweet emo album this is for you. The album sounds alot like earlier joan of arc and the lead singer is american football singer's brother so the vocals are somewhat simalar.
