TGUK is where it's at. Rocket from the Crypt, not so much. For fans only.

The Get Up Kids---R.I.P.

Nothing special here, it's not a bad split single, but it's nothing to write home about. The songs are pretty good, but completely typical for both of the bands involved. Over all, it's worth the 4 dollars it costs, but is really for diehard fans. The white vinyl is cool though, and the lyric sheet included is a nice touch that a lot of single producers routinely leave out.

To tell you the truth, I only got this for the Rocket from the Crypt song because they could take on just about any band in a fight, and win. Free Language Demons is a wicked song and this is a wicked 7". Rocket-Heads, buy this and enjoy it. GUK fan, I could care less, really. Crank it or spank it!

I like what rocket has been doing with themselves, it is nicely done. And to say again that the get up kids are one of my favorite bands. I dont care if all of these damn emo kids like them, they are a very talented band and their songs are all sung with so much feeling, even their old ones!

The Get Up Kids song "Up On the Roof" is pretty good but the Rocket From The Crypt side really stands out.

this is the best vinyl i own. the cover is amazing, with a nice blue vinyl inside and the lyrics are on translucent paper. the get up kids song is ace, and the rocket from the crypt one is ok, but im not a fan. im gonna give it 4 not 5 cause im not too keen on RFTC.

The Get Up Kids new song "Up On The Roof" isn't anywhere near as good as the songs on "Something To Write Home About", but it's good and built on a catchy melody. Plus.. it's The Get Up Kids. And like everything else by Rocket From The Crypt, in my opinion, their song is less than anything special. The only reason I'll give it a 3 is just because The Get Up Kids are on it. Dammit.
