Le Shok

We are Electrocution

GSL 27

Released on November 13, 2000

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

Long Beach, CA's LE SHOK's debut LP and CD release, a shambolic mish-mash of punk and new wave nihilism that doesn't waste any effort on has-been details like "production value" and "songwriting". This is the shit the "kids" REALLY want... Multiple top ten placings in MRR and a pretty glowing review in none other than Heartattack. CD packaging features all the lewd artwork the LP deposited on your doorstep, AND an awe-inspiring clear CD. No extra tracks, though, if you were waiting for the singles to show up on disc. Soda Pop Smash singles collection due later this year!

a really good cd even if it's only 14 minutes long. le shok has a certain style that makes it seemt that the cd would drag on if it was any longer. fun lyrics and great danceable tracks with trashy vocals. i only wish "she prefers whips" was on here, since it's my favorite le shok song.

Le Shok may not have been the most prodigious band, but they still rocked. Stripping away all the bullshit and just getting to the rock with a welcoming synth sums up a very good album from a very good, very missed band. If you're looking for a replacement, you won't be able to find one. Buy this album and save yourself the aggravation.
