Most original album ever made! Anything and everything is done in this album, a carnival of creativity. This and London Calling are why The Clash were so great.

This record has a few good songs such as "Charlie Don't Surf" & "Somebody Got Murdered". The problem with some of The Clash's record is the fact that they were WAY OVER PRODUCED. The production of this record as well as "Give Em Enough Rope, Super Black Market Clash, & Combat Rock" really shits on these classic songs. My recommendation would be to buy The first Clash Record, London Calling, and "Esential Clash". Also get there DVD "West Way To The World"!

if you are looking for your first clash cd, you should get the first album or london calling. if you are a clash fan this is a must have. as with all clash albums, you can't listen to sandidista expecting to hear straight punk. it has a mix of about every kind of music you can think of. some people say this is one of the clash's weakest albums, but they don't seem to understand it was basically the clash recording whatever they wanted, putting it on a triple album, and not taking royaltys on the first 200,000 copys so they could sell it for a little over a single album. sure it has some songs that I don't like, but all said and done I liked it more then I thought I would. and by the way, whoever says the clash "sold out" after their first album should just go back to hot topic, get some pre-made "punk" pants, and wine about how punk is dead.
