Second Base

Insubordination 24

Released on April 1, 2001

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

Infectious harmony driven tunes that are simply to good to ignore; an escape from their previous Mutant Pop release, The Proms' Second Base expands on their sound adding an indie pop edge to cut through their punk roots. Citing Buddy Holly as an influence, The Proms play backpacker indie-pop for lunchbox girls and the sweater wearing dorks that love them. Unlike the fake geeks in American Hi-fi and the real geeks in Weezer, The Proms trade in the Motley Crue riffs for bouncy sing-along hooks.
