Agent

I Wouldn't Trade That For Anything

Iron Pier 6

Released on November 28, 2006

$7.25
Buy

Agent play melodic hardcore rooted firmly in the Long Island "sound" but influenced heavily by Lifetime and also exhibiting a major influence from 90's indie rock bands like Braid. Whereas many bands that claim these influences seem to go for the lowest common denominator approach or are just plain boring, Agent write songs that haven’t been repeated 100 times before, with intelligent, introspective lyrics and impressive hooks to match. The vocals are rough, evoking Hot Water Music and The Replacements. Produced, recorded and mastered by Phil Douglas (Latterman, Small Arms Dealer) the sound is polished and sharp, yet rough-edged enough to be organic and warm. Look for this young Long Island band to tour a good amount over the next year with brother bands Take My Chances, Latterman, Capital and Crime In Stereo as well as to record a follow-up full length.

if you like bands from long island you will dig this, kinda like a lifetime meets new pop punk hardcore stuff....its really catchy and hope they play in Chicago. Been wanting this for awhile. Glad I finally got it. Seriously, I recommend it. Kinda sounds like Such Gold and Kobanes.
